REGMAIL MANAGED PROCESS

REGMAIL uses a unique system and methodology for the secure transmission
of e-mails using existing e-mail protocols (SMTP path remains the same).
The REGMAIL software intercepts the e-mail before it leaves the workstation
and performs an encryption and compression technique to the message and
attachments before they are sent via the standard SMTP path. Every e-mail
that is sent via the REGMAIL service has a unique encryption key that
is managed by the REGMAIL system. (There is no longer a need to manage
the cumbersome process of issuing Public & Private keys as is used
by most PKI vendors).
During the encryption & compression phase, important information
is taken from the Secure e-mail and passed via a secure connection to
the REGMAIL Server on the internet.
The recipient receives the Secure e-mail into their mail system as all
e-mails are received with the secured e-mail residing in an attachment.
Upon opening the attachment, the recipient is prompted for a username
and password. This information is sent via a secure connection to the
REGMAIL server on the internet which confirms the e-mail identity, the
recipient and the password before sending down the decryption key.
When the decryption key is sent to the recipient, a proof of delivery
(POD) is sent by the REGMAIL server to the REGMAIL originator.
The message is decrypted and uncompressed automatically and then viewed
in a REGMAIL Viewer (Similar to viewing a PDF Document). Attachments can
then also be opened, changed and saved to other locations.
When the viewer is closed, the e-mail returns to its secure state in
the mail system.
